How long are you gonna be around?
I walk down the street in my neighborhood as usual, passing by the apartment where Heath Ledger was last found. Heath must have also walked the same street as I did. We may have been in the same street at the same time. And we may not know who is not going to be walking down the street tomorrow, as they did yesterday.
Young death is always sad because they are so beautiful and our memory of their beauty and liveliness is so real. So we cannot admit that they are not there any more and our enthusiasm and expectations about their future also die. I still remember his smiles on a magazine when he just became an aspiring new actor. Since then, time went by too fast for him and for all other people who remember his smiles…
Time goes by really fast for me too. Coming to New York City and starting my own business… I’m thinking today. What kind of things I can do while I’m breathing and while I can walk down the street? If there are things to be done when I’m around, that should be nice things if not beautiful things…
